OFFICERS
These Officers will be elected for a two-year term. They shall be eligible for one more term in the same or any others office. They shall serve as a rule no more than three consecutive terms in different offices.

SECRETARIAT
The Secretariat shall be located where the Academy is initially incorporated until a permanent Secretariat with Staff is approved by the General Assembly on the recommendations of the Executive Committee
PROTOCOL GOVERNING ELECTIONS
(a)The Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts members may propose candidates for office.
(b)The Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts members may nominate candidates for particular offices and nominations close three months before the elections. They must also have ascertained that their nominee is willing to serve in the office for which they nominate her or him.
(c)The list of candidates proposed by the members must be made public in an Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts Newsletter and on the Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts website at least three months before the elections are due.
(d)The elections shall be held during the Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts General Assembly/Meeting virtual or hybrid. They shall be supervised by the selected non-contesting members.
(e)The Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts members then present shall be deemed to represent the total body of the Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts members. However, members who cannot travel to the conference or congress may exercise their voting right electronically by casting an online ballot set up for that purpose. Or, they may delegate, in writing, their votes to Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts members who attend the Meeting. After their authorization(s) have been verified by the Election Committee, these members cast as many extra votes as they have been authorized to cast in addition to their own vote.
CONSTITUTION CHANGES
Changes can be made to this Constitution only by the Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts General Meeting at the recommendation of the Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts Executive and Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts- Members. Such changes shall be circulated at least three months before the General Meeting/Assembly at which ratification shall be made.
DISSOLUTION
The Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts can be dissolved by a petition of one third of membership communicated to the Secretary at least One Calendar Year before the effective date of such proposed Dissolution. The Dissolution shall take effect once ratified by Two Thirds of the Members of Academy of Africana Indigenous Religions, Theology and Arts at the General Assembly/Meeting present and voting either hybrid or virtual.
